Which X-ray Machine is right for me?

图片
Dental x-ray machines are quite unique. They have the ability to do the work that large machines do but are packed into a small enough space that they can actually take pictures inside our mouth. They are compact and precise and are capable of many functions as not all x-rays are the same. X-rays taken to check for bone level and cavities between the teeth are known as “Bitewings” and are usually taken once a year. There are also full tooth x-rays taken from the top of the tooth all the way to the root. These “Periapical” or “PA” x-rays help to see deep decay and access among other issues. So you normally won’t get these unless you go in to see the dentist because of specific symptoms. There are also several x-rays for the roof and floor of the mouth as well as full panoramic x-rays to prepare for braces or surgery among other things. So these machines definitely have their work cut out for them. Here at ABC Dental works we take pride in the condition of our refurbished dental x...

Is it safe to do dental implants?

图片
Dental implants are typically made of titanium, a biocompatible material that is accepted by the body and serves as a strong and sturdy foundation for replacement teeth. First, the implant, which looks like a screw or cylinder, is placed into your jaw. And because the dental impant is a kind of dental equipment that used by the dentists. So, it is safe relatively speaking. But some people may still have some question. Does it make harm to do dental implants? The majority of dental implant patients return to work and everyday activities by the next day and are able to function normally between appointments. While there may be some discomfort and bruising depending on ...

Information Of Root Canal Equipments You Should Know

What is a Root Canal? A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a   tooth   that is badly decayed or becomes infected. The pulp or pulp chamber is the soft area within the root canal. The tooth's nerve lies within the root canal. A tooth's nerve is not vitally important to a tooth's health and function after the tooth has emerged through the gums. Its only function is sensory -- to provide the sensation of hot or cold. The presence or absence of a nerve will not affect the day-to- day functioning of the tooth.   Root Canal Prevention Since some of the reasons why the nerve of a tooth and its pulp become inflamed and i...

What Dental Surgical Light Used For

图片
Dental operating lights ( Dental Surgical Light )and illumination of the dental surgery The requirements laid down in national and international standards and draft standards provide helpful guidelines for optimum illumination (Fig. 1, Table I).General room illumination with 500 lx and illumination of the working area with 1000 lx are best achieved with a larger number of fluorescent lamps on the ceiling above and in front of the dental chair. Daylight white lamps with good colour rendering (e.g. Osram colour 19 or Philips colour 47) are a good combination with changing daylight and the colour of light of the operating light. The colour of external skin, mucous membrane and teeth appears natural. The eight surgical lights examined differ in quality (Figs. 2-9). The maximum illuminance is between 9000 and 21 000 lx and is thus sufficiently high. The evenness of light distribution within an ellipse 9 cm and 18 cm in diameter is between 1 : 4 and 1 : 15 (Figs. 10 and 11). ...
